Homework 12/7-12/11/09

Math: Do 30 minutes of Math, five nights per week, completing all corrections before moving on to new material. ALL CALCULATIONS MUST BE DONE IN YOUR MATH FOLDER; put in the generic formula (if there is one) and solve sequentially, substituting one thing at a time. IF YOU DO NOT SHOW ALL CALCULATIONS, YOU WILL COMPLETE THEM IN LUNCH BUNCH. If you have problems with homework, please call me between 7:00pm and 9:00 pm.

Reading/Writing: Do Excercises A,B,C,D in "A Well-Worn Path" for Thursday, 12/3/09
Complete Comprehension questions on Page 78-82 for Friday, 12/4/09.

Science: Complete your lab write up for the Percent Composition of Double Bubble Gum. Make sure that you use a title, hypothesis, materials, procedure, observations and data, and conclusions. This will be due for Wed. 12/9/09. Your topic for your Science Research Project is due on Wednesday, 12/16/09. You must have a project that will give you six weeks of data and which can be written up as a science research paper.

History:
Read and outline Pages 93-97. Look for current information on the news, in newspapers,magazines regarding Muslims in the news. Please bring your information to class. Be thinking about the Create Your Own Country project.

Wordly Wise: On Tuesday, 12/8/09, test on Wordly Wise #8. Prepare text for next week's test on Wordly Wise #9.

Art:
Make sure that you have a smock or old shirt and old baseball cap for the ceiling mural.

High School Biology:

Make sure that you have your book and organized Science folder for every class.

Tuesday, 12/8/09: Lesson plans for the lower school groups are due. Please have 2 copies already printed when you get to class.

Tuesday, 12/1/09: Heart Lab.
Thursday, 12/3/09: We will prepare the petri dishes for swabbing in the classrooms as part of our illness prevention unit. Hand in a lesson plan for your age group. Your goal is to educate your class in terms of preventitive actions that each student can take to avoid getting sick.
